"Brian accelerates the path from product to market clarity. In our time working together at LeakSignal, he quickly got to what matters, how to position, who to sell to, and why it will resonate. For early-mid stage teams trying to find their footing in enterprise security, that perspective is incredibly valuable."

Wesley Hales

Co-Founder & CEO, LeakSignal (acquired by F5)

"I've known Brian since our F5 days, and when I was building Capsule from the ground up, he was one of the first calls I made. His ability to stress-test go-to-market strategy and sharpen product-market fit thinking is something most early-stage founders don't get access to. We did, and it showed."

Naor Paz

Co-Founder & CEO, Capsule Security

"I've been building security companies for a long time, and one of the hardest things to nail early is your product market fit story. Brian helped us get clear on how we were positioning RoonCyber's runtime protection platform to the right buyers. He also flagged key cloud security analysts covering our segment and made introductions that improved our visibility."

Brian A. McHenry

Founder

Brian is a cybersecurity executive with over 25 years of experience spanning product leadership, sales engineering, and go-to-market strategy across some of the industry's most demanding environments.

As former VP of Product Management at F5 Networks, he led a $625M application security portfolio across a 30-person product team and 150+ engineers, driving $100M ARR in 18 months for the Distributed Cloud WAAP service. At Check Point Software, he served as Global Head of Cloud Security Engineering, leading a 70+ person organization including pre-sales engineering, customer success, and technical support.

At Obsidian Security, Brian was VP of Worldwide Solutions Engineering, where he scaled the SE team 50% in under 6 months and reduced SE onboarding time from 90 days to 2 weeks—a critical capability for high-velocity GTM motion.

He has been a key advisor on M&A transactions totaling over $1.5B, including Shape Security ($1B acquisition by F5), Volterra ($500M acquisition by F5), and Threat Stack ($68M acquisition by F5). His work spans product-market fit validation, integration strategy, and post-acquisition GTM realignment.

Beyond advisory and operating roles, Brian co-founded Security B-Sides NYC, a community-focused cybersecurity conference that scaled to 1,200+ attendees. He is a published columnist, podcast co-host on TWiET (TWiT.tv), and frequent public speaker.

He holds a B.S. in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance from Western Governors University and maintains certifications including CCSP, CySA+, and PenTest+.

"I've spent my career building and scaling product and GTM organizations in cybersecurity. Verant is about making that experience accessible to companies that need it most—without the overhead of a full-time executive."
